Budget Management

Set budgets to control spending and develop healthy financial habits.

Open Budget Management​

Each ledger has independent budgets. Since 3.2.1 the entry has moved into the ledger menu:

  1. Go to "Ledger Management" (tap the ledger name at the top of the Home tab)
  2. Long press the target ledger (visible to any member; Owner can edit)
  3. Choose "Budget Management"

Old path (3.2.0 and earlier): "Me" → "Budget Management" as a top-level entry.

Total Budget​

Set a monthly total expense budget and track spending progress in real-time.

  1. Tap "Set Total Budget" in the Budget Management page
  2. Enter your monthly budget amount

Category Budgets​

Set budgets for specific categories, such as:

  • Food: $500/month
  • Entertainment: $200/month
  • Shopping: $300/month

Budget Alerts​

  • Get notified when spending reaches 80% of budget
  • Warning displayed when over budget

Budget Cycle​

Budgets are calculated by calendar month and automatically reset on the 1st of each month.
