Upgrades and compatibility

For features that require both products, upgrade Cloud before the App. Back up your data and review the deployment and upgrade guide. The MCP URL change in 1.5.3 also requires client configuration updates.

1.7.0 · 2026-10-08​

  • Web image attachments: upload, remove and replace images when creating or editing transactions, view originals, and sync with the App. See Transaction Attachments.
  • MCP receipt uploads: upload receipts and link them to new or existing transactions. The local adapter accepts file paths and preserves original images. See Record with Attachments via MCP.
  • Category and transaction flag sync fixes: fixed missing child categories after a parent rename and loss of Exclude from Income/Expense or Budget flags during full sync.
  • Multi-currency asset fix: the home page asset breakdown converts balances into the base currency instead of adding different currencies directly.
Upgrading to 1.7.0

Back up the database and attachments first. The official Docker image automatically repairs category parent links that can be identified reliably. Upgrade Cloud before App 3.8.6 to sync changes to existing attachment order and details.

  • MCP recording fixes: creating, editing, and bulk recording correctly link categories and accounts, with consistent behavior for single and bulk entries.
  • MCP transaction search: find transactions by notes, categories, accounts, and tags.

  • Hidden accounts: account visibility synchronizes through the server and is supported on the Web. Historical transactions, balances, and net worth are retained.

  • Transaction-level multi-currency: transactions retain their original currency amounts while ledger statistics convert them into the base currency. Amount edits update the conversion.
